I have been planning to go to our annual family reunion and got all ready to go..made cucumber sandwiches(tiny ones) and a homemade angel food cake. Went and nobody there....checked the other shelter house.Nobody there either. Went home(as it was only 4 miles) and looked at the card...IT WAS YESTERDAY. It has never been on Saturday before....so I missed the reunion, missed going to my husbands picnic (same day, sunday) and have all those cucumber sandwiches to eat..(yum) and the cake too. (double yum)
Oh well, guess next time will look at the invitation closer....

Yep. Done that. Our neighbors had a barn dance every 5 years, and their daughter carried on the tradition. The last one, she had hubby clean the inside of her old iron wash pot for making chili, and reminded us to come. So...we had something to go to Friday night, thinking the barn dance was Saturday night. Saturday night, we were ready to do some boot-scootin', drove up her hill, and not a car or truck in sight...or even a house light on. Came home and checked the invitation. :::sigh::: Totally missed it.

So sorry a family member didn't call to check on you! :(
