My DH n I have been together for over 14 years. I've been hunting about 13 of them. Tonight I FINALLY harvested my first deer! A good, clean doe and a good clean harvest.
Hope to get another this year. We hunt for meat so doesn't matter if its a trophy or not. Whoopppeee!

Congratulations. I hope lots of them are harvested in N Indiana and S Michigan where I have to drive to work. Last winter, a large one came out of the woods and ran into the side of my car. I didn't hit it, it hit me! I see them often as I drive, and I try to be careful.

My cousin bagged two deer one year. Crazy things had the nerve to run in front of her while driving down the road. Her husband was mad cause he had been sitting in that cold deer stand and got nothing but a cold.....LOL

Congratulations. I haven't hunted with my husband, but I do help when we butcher them. He got three last year, so we had venison for the year. It is such a healthy meat compared to beef.
