Terri--I am thrilled for you. I know how long you have been waiting to come back to civilization and now it is finally happening.

With 34 moves under my belt I think I have the experience you are looking for. If you need someone to help you get those boxes unpacked and your house set up, I am your girl :)

We had 17 crates when we returned from Germany---and then we had 1/2 a huge moving van with our stuff from storage on top of it! I am so happy to now be retired and in my "forever house".

Terri... that's awesome news. Is one of your stops OKC? We could have a reunion (or is that just union?) of all of us in this area :D My daughter lives in Falls Church, Va. and works in DC...

My husband has worked in several parts of Virginia. I loved all of them and Virginia has awesome quilt shops. We travel all over and I would love to visit when you get to where your going. I think the idea of all of us here at the quilting board meeting at a central place for a quilting and greeting get together. Fun Fun

Welcome back to the Good Ole' USA, Terri & Family. Think of all the fabric shops you can stop at, but most important getting to see your babies again. How are they, by the way? Which branch of Service is your husband in? I'd guess Navy, but I may be wrong.

You can shop-hop your way across the country.

I see TONS of road trips happening!
I am in that area...not to correct you but, it's not Little Creek, VA. That is just the area around the base. You'll either be in Va Beach or Norfolk. What base? The base here is called Little Creek although it just got a new name and I cant remember it...lol.
I know Little Creek is part of VA Beach or Nofolk, but some just don't understand the differences.

Can't tell you how many boxes, but the count of crates that we had moving here was 16 1/2. One crate was my curio and the 1/2 crate was my couch. So........any takers?
Be careful what you wish for, your food bills and cooking time could quadruple with all your new driving distance neighbors showing up to take up your unpacking....
Not a problem Sharon! I love cooking for tons of people!
