Well I have been trying to figure out how I can volunteer in my community to help others. The problem is with my medical condition I can not really do a lot of lifting or lumping on things so I was told why not use your skill set to help.
So at the beginning to middle of February I will have my first free "lecture" to the local community on Basic Finance-terminology, loans-the questions to ask when applying and things to look out for, balancing checkbooks things like that that many of the people within the community I will be speaking in do not understand or have never really been given a proper explanation of.
I am soooo excited.
Hugs
April

Thanks Ladies.
In this economy I think it is important for consumers to be as informed as possible. Especially with the new Credit Card legislation and the housing crisis.

This is excellent! So often when someone speaks on personal finance, they have an agenda, like they want to sell you something. So the information they give has a spin to it, is slanted towards making people want what they're selling.

You, on the other hand, will be providing a real service, information that is just to help people know more and make better decisions, with their best interests as the priority. This is a great thing you're doing. Best of luck with it!

That is great April! I can tell you are so, so excited. Thank you for volunteering in your community and helping those less fortunate.

That is so great for you! I want to do something too and I've looked around at volunteer opportunities. I wrote to one place and got a not very nice email back, which was quite shocking.

I'll try someplace else.
