Anyone have a home business that isn't quilt/sewing related.
I'm looking to get an income, but I can't really work away from home at this point

I'll be watching too. Seems there are so many scams out there, I can't tell which ones are legit. Would love to find something to make extra Money from home.

do you have some items around the house that you can sell on ebay? Do you go yard saling to pick up new ones?

I've no ideas just a warning to be careful, there are a lot of work-at-home scams out there!

I work from home, but it's a carpet cleaning & dyeing company that my husband & I have...I answer the phone and do office work & he goes out to do the work. But, I do know a few women that work from home. One answers the phone for 1 800 Flowers taking orders. One calls people to ask for clothing & holdhold stuff to be donated to AMvets or Vietnam Vets. I know a couple women that have at home day care or baby-sit one or two kids. (The baby-sitters have been taken before with people that owe them money & didn't pay up. Maybe being paid a week in advance would be an idea.) One lady I know had an extra job selling Avon & it really kept her busy. And if you have the experience in medical billing my friend does the billing for 3 doctors from her home.

I do alterations, & sewing. There are GOOD work from home jobs... it's just a matter of finding them... I've done a few over the years. NO reputable company will make u PAY to work for them... no up front fees for envelopes, etc. I do a little mystery shopping here and there... ( when I plan to make a trip into the city anyway) I also do Photography here and there and just picked up a fill in position at the radio station. I"m always on the hunt for little ways to make money...
good luck on ur search

Not sure how it work, but I know someone that was working for Victoria Secrets catalog and now is doing this out of her home. It's my friend's DIL. I'll try to find out more about it. It's actually called 1800Flowers. Maybe you can google it. But, somehow she answers the phone & takes orders.
