Today DH had a Dr's appointment and after the appointment we picked up the boys and went strawberry picking. Want to see?

According to Emi, this is why they are called strawberry

Gotta love those fresh, off the plant, stawberries! I'm so lucky to have a strawberry farm right up the road from me!

WE used to go to the Strawberry farm when I lived in Michigan as a child, oh how I loved the smell of those warm fields! We'd eat until we were sick, then had to go home and clean, cut, and can the rest

Yum. I'm not sure it's ever going to get warm enough here for the strawberries to ripen. Here it is the 28th of June at 3:30 in the afternoon and it's just barely 60 degrees. Brrrrrrr.

Ours are all done, but the wild blackberries on the farm are black, juicy and sweet! Too many for the birds and racoons, so I have been enjoying myself.

Those look so yummy. There is a strawberry farm not to far away from us. I need to take DGD there to pick berries.

Maride, you spend nice quality time with your family. It pleases me to read how creative you are and how happy you keep your family. The strawberries look delicious. They always taste better right off the plant. So rich and sweet!
