I am new at quilting and can use any info at all. It is hard for me to undestand some of the instructions in the quilting books. Terms are new to me. I use the computer alot to find some things . I find as I sew my fabric starts slipping as I sew. I pin my fabric. I have to stop and repin or take them all out .

When you say your fabric starts slipping do you mean that seams you have aligned are moving?

Kim, is there any way you can take a beginning quilt class??
That's how I got started. I don't know how I would have learned otherwise :)
Also Youtube has wonderful tutorials for just about every part of quilting. Also check out Missouri Star Quilt Company.
It's great!

Hello and welcome to the Quilting Board. Have you visited your local quilt shop? I'm guessing that they would give you some 'hands on' help that would answer your questions.

are your pins too far apart? Holding your fingers too far from pressure foot? these are the only things I can think of, unless you are using slippery fabric.

Hi! Welcome from Minnesota!

Do you have a walking foot? My machine has a built in walking foot ... it feeds the fabric evenly from both the top and the bottom.
