Yes my house is full also with projects of all sorts. I am in the process of getting rid of most of them since I do not do them anymore and have no desire to do them. I have filled my interest with making quilts and quilting them.

Thanks all. Oxford..I am in Rochester. My current machine is a Kenmore form 1977! Whoa, oldie! But I won it in a sales contest so my return value has been great. I am trying to keep on a budget and I realize that many machines are not sold at MSRP. I went to a store yesterday and looked at a Janome and Brother. Both have button hole capabilities and 50 to 80 stitches. Around $499. store price. Also a BabyLock but I am not really interested in a serger concept right now. So I guess I am just confused as to which way to go. ha, I am the same way with fabric so I just overbuy to be safe.

Hello from Howell MI!! I have a few machines, my main sewing machine is a janome, I have both upper and lower priced janomes and have not had any trouble with either! Go with what you can afford and by all means check out as many as you can. What I love you might not like or use at all!

Welcome from FL. You can search previous threads by typing key words in the search box at the top of the page. Then click on the magnifying glass. It takes experimenting a bit to find out how the search function works best. I've found a few very specific words gets me started.
