Hi, I've been getting the links to this sight for some time now and love reading all the stories. So I finally joined. I've been quilting for about 18 years now. I just started a small quilting business out of my home and so far it's been very successful. Looking forward to retiring in about 4 years so I can devote my whole day to my quilting. Hoping to meet many new friends here. Signed quiltingsavta (savta is Hebrew for grandma)

Hello and welcome from Ontario. Congratulations on your quilting business. That is something I think I want to do but I am not sure I have enough nerve. What did you do to get started?

Well, mostly word of mouth - I do alot of repair work, but recently my nephew's Bar Mitzvah class hired me to make a wall hanging for each of the students for the Bar Mitzvah present. There are 22 in the class and each wall hanging is different. Through this, I've gotten other orders to do other things like pillows, baby blankets, memory quilts, etc. All small stuff, but one women wants me to make her a king size - not sure if I'm ready for that. I have attached a few pictures of the wall hangings.

Thank you very much. Each one I make becomes my favorite until I make the next one, then that becomes my favorite, and so on and so on. The parents are loving them and the kids get excited because they know they are all different.
