Greetings from Florida
Hi there! I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Elizabeth. I'm a mother of 4 wonderful children. Ryan is 15, Brandon is 11, Anabell is 4, and Olivia is 3.
I have been sewing since I was 12 years old. I make children's clothes and I design patterns for them.
I have a secret though. I've never made a quilt. Not even one. I'm quite intimidated by them. Knowing the work that goes into them, I have a deep appreciation for those that make them. I'm hoping that joining this group will give me the push I need to get my feet wet and try one out.
Thanks for allowing me to join and opening me up to a whole new world of possibilities!
Happy Quilting!!

Welcome from North Central Missouri. Lots for the beginner here, and how to do things the right way. I was self-taught and have many bad habits in quilting. Just remember, like the journey that always begins with the first step, quilting begins with the first stitch.
Lots of people think we are crazy to cut fabric up into pieces and then sew them back together again. Start with the easier patterns recommended here on the QB board like a nine-patch or log cabin; ask questions here and at your local quilt shop...there are no dumb questions. Main thing is to have FUN.
