Happy Holidays! I found this board last night and got addicted to chatting online right away =) Seems like a great group of folks, I look forward to getting to know ya'll better and getting involved.

I've been learning to quilt for about 10 years now. I haven't spent a lot of time with it, but have made a few quilts. I still would like to learn how to machine applique and actually machine quilt my tops (I still pay someone to do that for me).

You've come to the right place.

Welcome from Dallas, Texas.

Welcome from TN, Sweetness. I am relatively new here, too. Aren't they all great? There seems to be someone here who knows the answer to most any question we can come up with...what a blessing!

Hi and welcome to the board from Lubbock. We retired here about 2.5 years ago after living in the Spring/Woodlands area for 25 years. I love Lubbock but I do miss Houston, except for the humidity. That I don't miss even a little.

I lived in Dallas/Ft. Worth for a few years...definately jealous of the quilt stores I left :)

Btw...did you make the quilt in your avatar? It's gorgeous!!!

It's been SO hot and humid the last few days too. I HATE it! It actually snowed here two weeks ago...it was so fun! I've been to Lubbock once (I've only lived in TX 13 years) I actually learned that dust storms and tumbleweed are real when I was there =)

My kitty (Emile or Little Mr. as he is known around here) is Himalayan -- half Persian, half Siamese. And yes, he is spoiled rotten
