Has anyone put the vogager 17 on a Grace pro quilting frame.

I would be very interested in how it works out....I also have the original Grace frame with a juki. I must say it doesn't get used that much between my DD and I to put much more money into it. I checked with Grace about converting the the Nolte machine and they said I would have to convert the carriage for a $250 cost. I haven't done anything else to upgrade

I just did a quick search on the gracemachineframe group, and found the following post:
And from the homequiltingsystems group:
Personally, based on the weight of the voyager 17, I would question how well it would work on a wooden Grace Frame (maybe the Pinnacle could handle it, but I don't know for sure). I've got a Bailey 15" on my Little Gracie II, and that works really well. It's a lot cheaper than a Voyager, too ;)
I put a Voyager 17 on a Grace Pro frame. The Voyager weighs 70 lbs. and it is too heavy for the Grace Frame. It did not work. Because of the weight, there was a wiggle problem due to the tracking system. It did not move smooth.
That said---in the past there have been many disussions from member who have tried to put the Hinterberg Voyager on some other brand of frame. It has not worked out well in most cases. Due to the weight of the machine it seems to handle best on the New Joy Magic and the Proflex and of course the Hinty stretch.
A few members tried it on the Grace Pro but found moving the machine
around using the Grace track system was sluggish with the heavy Voyager.

That would have been my guess, kluedesigns -- the pinnacle is a metal frame, whereas the pro is wooden. Seems like the metal design would handle the weight better -- the pinnacle is quite a bit more expensive, though.
