Hello from Alabama
Hi yall,
I am very new to quilting and embroidery. My hubby just bought me a Brother quattro 6000d. It will be here on monday. I hope to learn a lot for this board and hope to gain many new friends. If anyone is willing to help a newbie. Please let me know.. Thanks Peg

Welcome from Southern California! Your new machine sounds great. I have a Viking Topaz and didn't realize the learning curve with the embroidery - I would understand when I was taking the training and then would get home.
Not too sure how new you are to embroidery but when I got my machine I knew nothing and a friend of mine worked with me so we could both learn. One shop had a huge selection of thread so I bought a couple of large already planned selections of thread instead of trying to buy them separately, and a variety of stablizers too.

Thanks for the warm welcome Quiltingcandy, Batil Lady and M. Elizabeth. I am new to embroidery too. I am taking my first Anita Goodesign Class next Saturday. I have a friend that has done a few quilts and she is going to help me too.
