Hello from Arizona
Terri's the name and a needle is my weapon of choice
Was fortunate enough to recently retire under 55, moved from California to Arizona, and learning to sleep past 5:30a.m. We're empty nesters except for the Italian Greyhounds which supervise our daily activities.
I first quilted while living in Japan in 1996, then gave it up due to other pursuits, and not enough time in a day for two hobbies. I picked it back up this past January and got a shock at how much patterns, instructions, accessibility has changed. I took a couple of quilt classes this year to re-learn how to read patterns and am learning to have more faith in my color selecting abilities.
I have a Janome Quilter's machine that I'd run somebody over for. I currently consider myself an almost-intermediate quilter. I'm more interested in small quilts that bed-sized. My other love is needlework of different styles.
