Hello,
I'm Paula in Tucson, Arizona. I've been sewing for 40+ years and started quilting 7 yrs ago. I'm a "newbie-intermediate" level but am willing to try new things, only way to go! I don't believe I will ever learn all there is ... there's way too much
I've only made 3 quilt tops ~ 2 queen and 1 baby ~ and have yet to take the 2 queens to one of the longarm gals in town, but that's on my To-Do List for this year. I did the quilting on the baby quilt by machine. I have a UFO list and really plan on trying to stick to it.
My DS also subscribes to "If the wife is happy, everybody's happy." I have never had to sneak material in and he knows when I go to the Quilt Show (coming up in 2 weeks, in fact) I'm definitely coming home with material ~ my reasoning "it is so pretty; no, I don't have a clue what I'll use it for but I'm sure I'll find something at some point in my life ~ it's called SABLE = Stash Accumulation Beyond Life Expectancy LOL"...and, of course, a few gadgets.
I have my own sewing/computer room and he has his own room. He wanders in periodically to see what I'm doing, asks if I ate , looks at what I'm making, smiles and says have fun! He's no use when it comes to colors ~ he's color-blind ~ so I'm on my own.
DH gave me 3 gift certificates to take classes at the LQS for Christmas but those will be over the next four months. I've got all my fabrics ready and in their appropriate containers
The comaraderie and support among quilters has always amazed me :-)
QUILTERS ARE THE NICEST PEOPLE!
Cheers!

Thank you all for the warm welcome & yes, my hubby is definitely a keeper. I also appreciate the idea he could help me with values...never thought of that!
See what I mean, quilters are the best!
