Hello Everyone my name is Tena Helms, I am a 36 year old married mother of 3. I have two girls and a boy. We enjoy mud bogging, camping, horseback riding, and hunting. We are a very active family but I enjoy tryin ALL kinds of crafts been wanting to learn to quilt for a very long time just hadnt sat down and actually done it. I do All sorts of crafts, Knit, paint ceramics, wood crafts, I don't find time to do them sometimes but I do enjoy them. I am a very conservative person and love to make things we use as a family such as laundry detergent, fabric sheets, I make it all. Anything to save money is my motto. Anywho any suggestions on quilting patterns that a beginner should do PLEASE let me know??? If u have anymore questions just ask. Hopefully to talk to yall soon.

Welcome from New Hampshire! Nine Patch blocks are easy to do. You could even try the disappering 9 patch. The directions are on this site under the Tutorial section. Yellow Brick road is another easy pattern to start with.

Hello from the wet central valley of California.
As to patterns, there are thousands of free ones on the Internet.
Almost every quilt site has some, and some sites have hundreds.
Or you could do Crazy Quilting, which means use up all the odd and different colors and shapes of whatever fabrics you have on hand that will take to being loved and washed.
Enjoy your new and thrifty hobby.
