hello from florida
Hi:-) i started quilting a year ago when i made a quilt for my boyfriend who was going to Alaska for summer. Im really not sure what made me decide to start since i had never even sewn before, i also sewed a couple bags but im not sure if those were before or after i started the quilt. I am not addicted to it and i finished another commissioned piece am working on another. I also love sewing purses. None of the quilts ive done or am working on have specific patterns they are just pictures i sketched up:-) i cant wait to read everyones posts and learn some new interesting techniques to improve my work :-)

Welcome from SC Texas. Happy you joined us. I like to use a pattern only when I see one I would love to make, for me it is much more fun to make art quilts with my scraps and my own designs. You will learn a lot here as there are so many talented members here.
