Hello from Germantown Ohio!
Hi, my name is Cindy Mann Vitale.
I am an artist and create designs for painting projects and for fabric.
I would love to do some basic quilting and am most interested in applique quilting.
Could anyone explain to me why wearing the quilting gloves is so important?
Thanks for letting me be involved in your group!
I have a lot to learn!

Welcome from Ontario, Canada. Quilting gloves are very helpful to grip the surface of the quilt sandwich when machine quilting. You would think that your hands could move the big quilt sandwich through a domestic machine but the rubberized gloves really make it easier.

welcome from windy, cold, vertex index Michigan. the gloves really help as you get older, I have found. just helps with the strength needed to grip and push the material thru the machine. I have found, that I really prefer slipping just the left handed one on, when sewing the binding on also. it helps move the big, whole quilt thru.
