Hello everyone! I have never quilted ever in my 23 years but i'm really interested in it! I took a basic class through Joann Fabrics and got hooked..after making 1 block :) I'm going to be attempting my first project soon and I'm hoping it turns out ok!
I don't really understand the lingo a whole lot and any simple very easy pattens you can suggest would be great to get me started and more experienced.
As I've been reading posts here and looking at pictures I'm wondering how do you do that fancy stitching on the top and back of the quilt when it's done..i'm assuming? It seems complicated :/
Thanks for reading and any help/encouragement is appreciated :)

Welcome to the world of quilting! We're so glad you're here! There is lots to discover which is the fun part. If you need some practice, start with Blocks of the Month. They are a great way to stretch your quilting wings and get the hang of everything.
Once you get something together to quilt, you can use those "fancy stiches" you talk about. You might be talking about Free Motion Quilting. Google that and find out. There are tons of tutorials. But even a beginner quilter can stitch a quilt. There are plenty of beginner ways to do it and they look awesome!
Above all, have fun!
