My name is Sarah and I am new to sewing and very new to quilting. I am working on a project with some friends and family to create 84 twin size quilts for a new orphanage opening soon in Haiti. I am going to post on the main page but what we are trying to figure out (in case anyone here wants to chime in) is the batting materials. The quilts will be hand tied so what's cost efficient and can be hand knotted spaced pretty far. Thanks

Hello and Welcome to the board :D:D:D
I would suggest using flannel instead of batting. It is economical, you can use the less expensive thinner flannel. You would only have to make minimal amounts of ties too :D:D:D
