Hello from Monkton Vermont, USA
Just found Quilting Board! Yahoo! What a great way to connect with quilters around the globe. I am Carla Klop. I started quilting in 1976 and for 30 years made one quilt per year - all by hand. I never went to a show, or a quilt shop - just didn't know they existed and life was too busy with work and kids etc.
So at the young age of 54, I moved to Vermont to start a new life.... and discovered the rotary cutter, quilt shops, masses of patterns, amazing techniques. So here we are in 2015 - I am a designer, producer, teacher and of course quilter all day everyday. I love to see other quilter's ideas, sharing techniques, and learning.
I have special techniques for making flying geese 20 at a time, sheets of half square triangles, 6 pointed stars 10 at a time and other fast ways to make various units. I would be happy to share... let me know if you are interested.

Welcome to the board from Southern California! Hope you will share your knowledge with us through the Tutorials section. There are so many helpful and inspiring quilters here and any info or new techniques are greatly appreciated.
