I have been on this board everyday for a while and realized that I never introduced myself. I am currently a 99er. I have been unemployed for over 2 years. I live in a small town and the bigger towns want people who live in their area. My DH and I have adjusted to our income. I no longer receive any unemployment. I love quilting, but I have OCD. I have to make sure everything is in order before I enjoy my hobbies. I am now in a position that I have more time in my hands and begun to study my Brother Innov-is 1000. I am learning the embroidery part. I am also studying how to use the EQ 5. I had to buy the simplified book because I just get lost. I have done several quilts -more memorial than pleasure. I do my best. I am first generation to make quilts. So, my family think they are the best in the whole world. I have done hand-quilted pillows and runners and machine-sewing quilts for loved ones. I am getting so many ideas from all of you. Being that I am alone most of the time, I get excited going to this board and feel the commodore of fellow quilters. I use the bookmark tab all the time. The bad news is that I am having surgery on my left shoulder in two weeks and I will be out of commission between 3 weeks to 3 months! After that, it is my right shoulder. So, I look at the bright side and will use the time to read and learn the techniques before I start quilting again. My prayer is that I will become as creative as all of you. God bless and I look forward to reading your topics.

Welcome from Minnesota, I also hope your surgery goes well for you.
I sure wished we lived closer to each other.... reading your introductory was like reading about myself, I too live in a small town and am having trouble finding the right job without having to drive into the cities every day, I absolutely hate nutty traffic. This board is so GREAT for me, but I also wish I had a quilting buddy close by. I even checked to see if my town has a quilting guild and they dont.
Maybe I should start my own. Good luck to you.

Hello& welcomw! Our stories are alot alike! I have been out of work for almost 6 months, and finding a job within 30 miles is not an easy thing to do unless you want to work midnights at Taco Bell! I am home alone most of the time too. DH is at work, meetings, etc... so Iam here by myself, and dont know too many people here yet. We are always here for you! Good luck with your surgery!
