Hello from New Zealand

Hi, I'm new to this quilt board and have really enjoyed the posts and discussions I've seen so far.
I've been quilting for just under 10 years. I moved from the City to a town about 3 years ago, and have found a lovely group of local quilters which I meet with each month. I really enjoy talking with other quilters. I just love hearing about the projects people are working on (especially photos of their projects), learning and sharing with others.
My quilting focus at the moment is a quilt for my mother. She selected the fabric, and a design from one of my quilting books. This pattern is a challenge! It's a mariners compass variation. So I'm in the throws of piecing it, and intend to hand quilting it.

Welcome from California, USA. It's great that you've found some quilters to meet with monthly. I just joined my local guild and am looking forward to that same experience. Do you have any pictures of the quilt you're working on for for mom?
