Hello from North Carolina

Hi, my name is Betty and I want to thank you for letting me join your wonderful group. I am amazed at some of the talent that's been shown here and I look forward to getting to know some of you and hopefully learn a trick or two from you.
I dabble with quilting, machine embroidery and some crochet projects, mostly for the grandchildren. I recently became a huge fan of Kim Diehl's quilt books and quite frankly I am determined to make a few of them "for myself", lol! My husband reminded me that in all the years I've sewn I've never made and kept anything for myself so I guess I was smitten with her books for a reason.

Hello and welcome from an Iowa girl   .
I finally started keeping projects for myself, but was reminded yesterday of the denim baby quilt I made for a now 16 year old who thinks of me whenever she sees it and of the 35 + nephew who wants a replacement for his HS graduation denim quilt. The giving of your handwork is so special
