I live in a small community in Washington State, quilting is my passion I enjoy reading the quilting Board every day and enjoy seeing what others are creating. I teach 5 techniques for hand piecing locally, and belong to a large quilt guild, as well as a small quilting group in the town I live in. Today I need to layer and start quilting the raffle quilt for our small group to display in the 4th of July Parade. I will post a picture when finished. The fun part of it was the blocks were created a few years ago by community members attending our quilt show on hand crank sewing machines! just wait till you see....

Welcome!! You could not have picked a better venue than the QB as your virgin voyage into cyberspace message boards. Very nice community but I think you have realized this already if you have been a lurker for a while. Glad you finally decided to join in on the fun.

I have 4 Singer 99's that I have converted to hand cranks along with a Jones original hand crank that is absolutely wonderful to sew with, and a New Automatic treadle machine. I use the converted hand cranks to do make and take projects at the local fairs and other events. Teaching people about sewing and peaking their interest in the world of sewing and creating.
