Welcome from MD and a big thank you to both you and your husband for serving. You aren't strange. Many of us don't enjoy the actual quilting phase but like to piece and bind. Or our machines limit the size quilt we want to quilt. Glad you joined us.

Hi Debbie...welcome to the board from OKC. My DH is retired AF but we were never stationed here. We were stationed many places, too. After I retired from my job, we took our bus conversion out on the road for 9 weeks. I really enjoyed that. Unfortunately, my health won't allow us to travel in it any more. So glad you've joined us here at the QB and I can guarantee you'll learn a lot from these wonderful people on here.

Welcome from Pennsylvania. I love the Board and you will too. Can't wait for Monday mornings to get it. I quilt and piece--love hand quilting the most. Problem is--goes so slow. I do not machine quilt but I have quilters who do it for me because it is cheaper than hand quilting. My church girls hand quilt every Tuesday, but since machine quilting is now less expensive, we really do very few quilts anymore. It's a shame because hand quilting is such fun and so beautiful. Now we are making knitted and crocheted prayer shawls for shut ins. Nice talking to you.

welcome. I relocated to Oklahoma to be near my DS who passed away 3 years ago. I am here with a DD in Fla. and one in Texas. So quilting both piecing and hand quilting, along with other hand work, knitting ,crocheting etc keeps me sane. Love this board too it passes many happy hours. Keep on posting guys and gals.
