Default Hello from State College, PA!

I've been quilting for more than 35 years. I design most of my quilts and like the challenge of drafting a pattern and playing around with ideas. What I like best about quilting is getting together with other quilters to learn and share. Looking forward to hearing and seeing what everyone is making.

Welcome, Mary. Lived in State College while MrJan was a student at Penn State. Love that area. You'll enjoy this board and will see examples of all styles of quilting. Please show us some of your work, too.

You have found the right place to gain many new ideas - at least I have. Welcome from the beautiful mountains of western NC.

Go Penn State! I was on the university faculty for almost twenty years but lived near Altoona. I just moved here in November. My son and his family live nearby. My daughter-in-law is a quilter too. Many quilters in the area...there's a pretty active guild but I haven't made any connections yet. With everything involved in moving and getting my new home organized...my daughter-in-law unpacked and shelved fifteen tubs of fabric...the quilt studio was the first space to be done!

My late husband and I loved North Carolina...spent many wonderful vacations camping on the Blue Ridge.
