My oldest project dates back to '89 and it is supposed to be hand-quilted. I'm afraid it will be donated unfinished when I die. :D

I'm in North Carolina now - since 1976. Dad retired from FAA in Hilard in '74 and decided to move back home to be close to aging parents (my grandparents). We've been here ever since.
I haven't gotten up the nerve to do applique yet ~ although it is on my list of things to do. All I have done is machine piece and hand quilt.

I started hand applique with freezer paper on the back and basted the seamallowence over to the back. It gave me a good 'target' for my needle on the edge of the piece. Kind of like paper piecing...I never get that technique right my stitches show! good luck. I am making a Baltamore album and designing most of my own blocks!!!!! I'll post it in about 10 years, when it's done har har
