Hello from Texas
I'm an newish to sewing. I fell in love with it almost from the start. Despite the frustration of not knowing what I was doing. I feel confident enough to teach the children in our local 4H group. My 10 yo daughter and I sort of sew together. Well. She sews with her sewing teacher, whom my family has "adopted". She has sewn with my 10 yo for 3 years. They were 7 & 15 when they started sewing together. As much as I love sewing, I love sharing what I have learned with the children. I am blessed to have a dedicated room to sew in. I share it with my daughter. So. We are still learning how to co-create together. We embroider, sew and serge together. My 10 yo just bought a serger at the quilt festival, with her own money. Pretty neat mom and daughter times.

I didn't have a daughter to sew with - only sons! I do have custody of my older granddaughter, but she is too socially oriented to have an interest in quilting at this time. Hopefully, that will change in the next few years. And welcome from the beautiful mountains of western NC.
