Hi,
This is a great site. Thanks Jackie for letting us know about it!
I've been quilting for about 10 years. My third quilt was a wall size double mariner's compass with no instructions. It took months! I make about a dozen quilts a year, and starting Long Arm quilting them about a year ago. I also quilt for others under the name Wheatridge Studios.
My studio is a former small town church. There are a group of ladies that meet every Wednesday to work on charity quilts. There are three of us that quilt those quilts. We're always looking for ideas for quick but beautiful quilts.
I have 4 kids: 25, 18, 16 and 9. The two oldest are in college, the oldest is only a semester ahead of her brother as she spent 4 years in the Air Force and is a veteran of Afghanistan and Iraq. We raise cattle, wheat and barley and I'm also a Certified Bookkeeper. In small towns, you have to diversify to survive.
I can't wait to go see what you have all made!

Welcome Shelly from Southern California. My Eldest daughter is in the Army reserve and spent a year in Afghanistan and is currently on her way to Iraq. She finished college first but has been working on her Masters in between all the training and deployments. Tell her "thank you" for her service to our country!
