I am a retired art teacher. My husband served in the AF for 21 years and we traveled the world. I was introduced to quilting when a friend asked me to draw scenes on a block for a memory quilt she was making for her son. I loved the idea, so I made one for my parents of my memories growing up (they loved it.) I was living in Germany at the time and had no one to teach me to hand quilt, so I taught myself and now many years later I am in a quilting group and loving this art form.
