Hi All, glad to be here!
I am beginning my first foray into quilt making, or, hope to. As well as an overly busy person can, I will do my best.
I am descended from a Master Quilter, haha! My Nana made quilts for each and every one of us. I want to follow in her footsteps and even though she was probably only about a size 4 shoe, hers is a big shoe to fill. My motivation is that I am now a grandmother and the desire to create lasting family heirlooms is growing strong.
I really don't know what I am doing...I have inherited a sewing machine from my mother in law who passed and would like to take it out of my basement and dust it off... never really sewed in my life except for patches on jeans. I will be popping in to get guidance and inspiration from you ladies (and guys)!

Welcome from Ontario, Canada. A good place to get started with are the YouTube videos done by Jenny Doan from the Missouri Star Quilt co. Look for a small project like a tablerunner to start and work your way up to your baby quilt. Any questions you have along the way can be answered here on QB. Have fun!
