Welcome from upstate New York! Any chance you could post some pics of the fabric choices and prices over on the forum? Living in Dubai must be very interesting.

Hi Emma, welcome from Vermont, USA. I've seen pictures of some amazing places in Dubai. Hope you are enjoying your work there, and take great pleasure from your quilting in your spare time. This is a great resource community that will surround you fellow quilters.

Wow - how lovely to log onto my computer today and see such a warm welcome

In response to some of yor questions:

Caroline S - yes we do have fabric stores here! We have 2 stores which specialise in quilting, but we also have a wealth of fabric stores which whilst mainly catering to dressmakers, they do have selections of cottons suitable for quilting.
I'm also lucky to have friends who travel to India and Pakistan on a regular basis, and just yesterday recieved 5 metres of beautiful silk dupion for a steal!

Monroe - next time I'm out at the stores, I will certainly take some photos and share with you all. I tend to do a lot of my shopping online at the moment, but no doubt I will be out in a 'real' store soon.

Emma
