I have never done this before. Am wanting to make a baby quilt for a Baby Girl. I want to incorporate a Beatrix Potter character picture in the middle of the quilt. I have no idea of how to go about this and was wondering if anyone would be able to offer suggestions. Thank you so very much!

Hello and welcome from the Arkansas Ozarks.
Happy quilting.
I am sure that someone on this board will be able to give you some ideas. Sorry, I can't help, but I usually have to go by the pattern still.

Maybe look for a panel with Beatrix - and add quilt blocks around it. Good way to start out. I don't don't know if there is such a thing...but wanted to welcome you anyway!

And you'll be getting all kinds of tips and suggestions for your baby quilt... I'm a beginner quilter, and always google for tutorials for anything that I don't know how to do.. There are so many to choose from...

Let us know what you do, okay?

Here's one site with oodles of panels and directions...

welcome. I would lay out what you want in the center and keep adding around it, since you are just starting out, keep it simple, blocks or strips are easy and look wonderful. Just keep at it, quilting is addictive and very rewarding
