I need to know how many 12" squares it takes to make a King size quilt? If anyone can help me, I sure would appreciate it!! :)

Mattresses are so different now. I would measure the bed, decide how wide & long you want the quilt & then how much drop on the sides. Divided the measurement by 12 for 12" blocks, but cut your blocks 12 1/2" to allow for seams.

Are you going to add borders? Is it just fabric squares you want to sew together for the whole top--no sashing?
