Hi there!
My name is Lee Ann and I'm a new quilter.
Just moved to Kansas from Arizona as my husband joined the army. I have a little boy that is almost two.

I started a quilt in 2006. It's very pretty, but I can't figure out how to finish the top. I go frustrated with it and put it away. Life happened and now 4 years later I am itching to finish it and quilt on a regular basis. I don't have a 'real' quilting machine, just a Brother 270D. ( Embroidery machine) but its great I love it! Have not figured out how to use the larger embroidery hoop for larger designs....My mother however has a husqvarna that she has never used, she is thinking about giving it to me for Christmas (fingers crossed!)

Below are some pictures of my quilt. I was thinking of taking the green off ( since i dont have enough anyway) and doing a scalloped border?

I have questions about everything!

Paisley Paradise (for love of licorice pattern)

That was a hard project for a new quilter. Nice job.

Hi and welcome!

I also have a 270D and I can tell you that it pieces a very accurate 1/4" seam. In fact, it is more accurate than my other machines, so I use it almost exclusively to piece tops. This is using the J foot, I believe.

Also, it will not work with any hoop large than the 4 inch hoop it comes with. It will work with a couple of the smaller ones, but nothing larger. If you wanted to make a larger design, you would have to break it into sections.
