HI from NJ!
Hi all!
My name is Cheryl, new to the quilting board. I happened to google something about quilting and voila I found the board :-)
A bit about me. I made my first quilt way back in 2003 for my now 9yr old son with fabric squares I got from other moms before he was born. I did it mostly by hand and had no clue what I was doing, the squares and rows didn't line up and it turned out kind of wonky but I loved making it. And that's how my love of quilting started. I bought how-to books, watched videos/tutorials, took a few classes and it's just grown from there. I now have my own sewing area in our finished basement (I have to share the other half with my bf for the man cave but I have plans to take that over one day wahaha), I have an etsy store, get commissioned to make quilts for others plus I make them as gifts. I love sewing and quilting. One day my dream is to be able to quit my "regular" job and just sew all day, and be able to pay the bills doing it.
Anyways I'm glad to be here and hope to learn a lot from everyone!!

Welcome, Cheryl! Sounds like you've made great progress on your quilting journey! I hope you can reach your dream, too. My DH has a 3 car garage, heated and AC, and he gave me one bay to use for my HQ16 on a frame. He shocked me when he offered...it's his hobby area and it is getting very full! Sometimes he eyes the space he gave me with lust in his eyes - and that's when I'm not in it!
