Welcome from Canada-Manitoba, if any of your machines have a darning foot (circle) use it, and lower the feed dogs.
Slide in yur quilt, bring the bottom thread to the top and it does basic stitching (easier on baby quilts) I'm getting the hang on following a pattern. Not the greatest method, but good practice for a next step sewing machine.
