Default Hi from Rew, PA

Hi, I just joined a few days ago and love everthing about this forum... there are so many great quilt pictures here and so much information... This is the first forum I belonged to and I'm very excited to have joined and happy to have been accepted.. I've been sewing for about 20 years and still have a lot to learn...I've posted my first thread about a saddle pattern and can't wait to see what feed back I get...

Hi Jinny, sending a warm welcome your way from NE Ohio. Sorry I can't help you with the pattern, but I'm sure someone on here will have an answer for you. Good luck.

Welcome Jinny! I love the quilt in your avatar (is that the right term?) Is there a pattern to that? I've got the twister ruler, but I'm not sure I could figure the heart out without a little guidance.

Nilla,
I'm sure there is a pattern out there but I just used the idea from the Christmas Tree pattern and made my own...just do the follow I cut my red, white & pinks all 5 inch squares then the lay out is
1white /2red/pink/ 1white/ 2 red/pink/ 1white
7 red/pink
7 red/pink
7 red/pink
1white/ 5 red/pink/ 1white
2 white/ 3 red/pink /2white
3white/ 1red/pink/ 3white now cut 4-3 inch strips add them to top and bottom and then cut... I added a 2inch inner border and then the 4inch outher border... mine isn't quilted yet but that's next on my list... enjoy hope this helps...

Thanks Jinny! That's just an adorable quilt and it looks like fun to make. I appreciate that you took the time to give me the formula. You've just gotten here and you're already helping someone else!
