I just came across this Quilting Board today, as I was searching for a place to sell some of my many quilting books. I have only been quilting for 3 years. Two of those years I worked in my gf's quilt shop. Unfortunaly due to the economy she had to close her shop. So I have ended up with an overwhelming amount of quilting items and realize I will never use them all. I am thinking about getting an HQ16 sitdown model so if anyone has one I would love to hear from you. Sorry this is so long. Looking forward to being a part of this group.

Have you checked out Craig's List? Some folks find some neat things there.
Don't go alone to anyone's house. Meet in a public place, an opened store lot or cafe with lots of other people around.
Don't carry a lot of cash that can be seen, put it in an inside pocket.
Have someone go with you, the bigger he is the better. Someone who looks like a heavyweight pro wrestler would be nice.
Know your machines and give it a close look before buying.
