HI from western Colorado
I just got signed up after lurking here for a few weeks.
I am new to trying to set blocks with slashing and all that good stuff. Over the years I have made a few quilt to keep us warm kind. Just heavier material cut in to blocks and sewed. I have all this scrap left over from sewing I needed to use up. And I had bought more. I do need to get it used up. I work full time till 72 and I would buy a few yards and put it away for quilts.
I moved here to northwestern Colorado this year. Out in the gas and oil fields to be near my son. Just turned 81. No stores for quilt stuff here and I stocked up. I got mess and the rest of my material has not been moved here yet. I am working on 16 patches I sewed to get rid of scrap. Little scrap of this and that. If it didnot cut a little block it got tossed or cut a 13 in strip for strip quilts. I went though a lot of boxes and bags of it. (I had made cabbage patch type clothes to sell at craft shows and this was the scrap) But I have all kinds of materials. Got to figure out how to use it up.

Welcome to the Board from New England. My DD (dear daughter, if you are new to the abbreviations) lives in Denver. My other DD looked for work in Durango a few years ago but is settled now near me.
If you have scraps, check out Bonnie Hunter's site: http://quiltville.com/ You might want to make a cuppa first.
