Hello from Ohio. I also like to do counted cross stitch, but I have found that when you quilt you can see the finish line quicker. Have fun here.

Welcome from Alabama! I might suggest going to your local craft store and purchasing a small kit. My mother recently bought one. It contains a cutting mat (12x18), a clear, acrylic, rulered cutting guide and a 45mm rotary cutter for about $24 (US) on sale from JoAnn Fabric. This and fabric should get you started. Good luck!!

Welcome. I used to (20 years ago) do tons of cross stitching. My 3rd quilt was a log cabin with cross stitched centers. Give it a try!

Hi Beckah, welcome from Minnesota, US! My suggestion is to take a quilt class at a LQS ... you'll learn so much. And of course we're all here for as many questions as you have. Happy quilting!
