Hi from Texas!
Hey y'all! I'm new around here, and I've been lurking for awhile. I'm a military wife, homeschooling mom of 4 living in the middle of nowhere, Texas. We recently bought an abandoned house on 5 acres, and we've been remodeling it for the last several months. The best part is that there's a 1000 sq foot guest house on the property that will eventually be my sewing studio!
I've been sewing for about 12 years now, and I also do crochet, knitting, cross, stitch, embroidery, and I love to restore and refinish old stuff to new. Lately i've become a hoarder of old sewing machines. I keep finding them at yard sales etc and I can't say no!
I currently own:
Bernina 1230
Viking Designer I Embroidery Machine
Viking Designer Ruby Embroidery Machine
Brother 240D Serger
Babylock Quilters Choice Mid-Arm
1948 Singer
1965 Singer
1985 Singer
1960's (?) Lenco Industrial machine
Juki HZL-27D
1960's Dressmaker Zig-Zag
1960's White
I mainly do custom work for extra income, and with my mom we have recently launched our own design line for quilts and embroidery. Aside from that I'm the go-to girl for my husband's military unit, handling all of their alterations and uniform needs. I have so much military camo fabric in my stash its' unreal. haha!

Welcome to the board and my respects to your husband for his service to our country. My husband is retired military (Army) and my son currently serves in the Navy. Look forward to seeing your creations!
