Default hoosierinTexas

I am originally from Indiana but have lived in Texas for the last 28 years. I have been sewing and quilting since I was 8 years old. I recently graduated from UT but got diagnosed with breast cancer this past June. I am finishing my last treatment of chemotherapy. I want to make a landscape quilt for the brick wall just outside my front door with maybe 3 smaller quilts hanging in front. I would love suggestions on what to use to make the quilts (canvas/oilcloth?) and how to protect them from the sun and rain. I look forward to any ideas to help me with this project. I hope my energy returns soon so I can try them out.

Congratulations on finishing your chemotherapy! I so hope your energy will return soon so that you can get busy on that landscape quilt. I'm sure that you'll get great ideas from the people here. Welcome! We are so glad you have joined this board.

Welcome from Michigan. Hope your energy returns rapidly. I know what that is like. I never hung a quilt outside but how about in a plexiglass box.....
