Hello, I'm new, both to quilting and to this board. I guess I'm not really new to quilting since I pieced my quilt top back in the mid-80's....but I haven't quilted it yet and haven't pieced any more tops since then. Found a backing for the top years ago and have been collecting sequined appliques and buttons to embellish it for nearly twenty five years now....a quilting friend gave me a scholarship to a long arm tutorial last May and after the training she let me practice by quilting a charity quilt for her. I've been under-employed for a couple years so haven't had the disposable income to rent a long arm or buy the batting to finish my quilt but I'm slowly gathering the knowledge to help me to do it when I do have the funds (or my friend buys the long arm she's threatening to buy and lets me 'borrow' time on it ;-). I've been enjoying the pictures and topics postings here for the last few days since I joined. This is my first quilting group and y'all have been great, which is good because I have a million questions! Anyways, good to meet you :D
