Default I got hives from my first quilt...

Welcome, in 1971 I made my first quilt. Believe it or not out of polyester fabric. It was the rage then. I broke out in hives that lasted three months. Then they figured out I am allergic to polyester... So I had to throw it it away. I've been quilting ever since. Now it's 100 percent cotton!

Hello and welcome from Texas. Being allergic to fabric is the pits. I have to wash everything before I use it.

Welcome from central NY. I've never heard of anyone being allergic to polyester. I'm allergic to romaine lettuce. There are some odd allergies out there, aren't there?

Welcome from Ontario, Canada. Wow, polyester would be a hard fiber to avoid in clothes.
