:D Hello to all. I am grannysherry and I have just joined your forum. I am not an old sewer just an ole lady who would love to learn more about sewing, especially quilting. I do have one question though. What is the difference in a horizontal and a vertical sewing machine?

It has to do with your bobbin case...drop-n vs. opening an upright bobbin case and inserting the bobin.

Thank you so much. I am looking at a kenmore sewing embroidering machine and the accessories ask for horizontal or vertical and I didn't know which one since I am ordering this on line and the specs didn't say just said drop-in bobbin. Now I know thanks to you. I also googled after your reply and read all of the remarks on these two different aspects. Thanks again
