Hi, fellow fabric crazies. I just joined this morning and saw the posting for Kindle comments. Here's mind: I was given a Kindle last summer. After spending hours reading how to work it, it's been sitting on a bookshelf since. To me, there is something about going to the bookstore, touching the book pages and wandering through all the sections. However, if you are more into fast, convenient perusing of books, go for the Kindle!

Well, I just got myself an Ipad, mostly for reading, but also some games. I just love it. I love books, but am just getting tired of having to donate books or figure out where to get rid of them. There are lots of free sites, and I got a few books for 99cents. The nice thing is that once I have read the book it is gone and on to the next one. My daughter got an e-reader of some kind for Christmas and says she loves it. Funny thing is, when I get toward the end of a page I still catch myself licking my finger to turn the page. Enjoy the new technology.

that's great. you make valid points. I had amassed over 700 true crime books, in addition to my usual hoard of other genres. finally bit the bullet and donated them to a couple of libraries nearby and VOILA! i broke the habit of glomming on to every book I buy. Maybe one day soon I'll try the Kindle. thanks for your reply/comment.

I use a Nook because I travel and like to get books from the library. However I still buy some non-electronic books. E-readers can't replace the functionality of all books.

Hi, Patti: Thanks for your words of welcome. We, too, are finally having a break in the weather. Hi 50s today and 60 tomorrow. Actually until last week, we had had a really mild winter, then BLAM! fortunately, spring does come.

Thanks for your comments. I, too, used to travel, and travel, and travel . . . . Fortunately, those days are past, but unfortunately, when i traveled, we didn't have access to the great technology that is available today. Enjoy it!
