My DSIL, Hopetoquilt, has "forced" me into making a rag quilt--presumably because she wants to see how one turns out but is more interested in turning out more impressive and complicated quilts herself (see Quite a Bright Quilt for an example). So far, I've cut and pieced, but have yet to start using the actual sewing machine. Maybe this week, I will begin that adventure. The rag is made up of nature fabrics--things like rocks and trees and apples. I'll let you know how it goes.
