I'm new to this website and have found it very helpful and valuable as I continue my quilting adventures. I have been quilting for over 10 years and am still finding new ways to do old things and the tips and pictures are great. I am so proud of my latest it's my first string quilt. I loved making it and plan on making a few more. I didn't realize I had so many scraps that I have been saving over the years just in case I needed them or for a future scrap quilt. I use to make pinwheel scrap quilts but it looks like now I am hooked on string quilts until something else distracts my attention.

6 1/2 inch blocks 12 across and 12 down

I love how the colors make their own patterns

Hello and welcome to the board from Ohio. Love your quilt. I have a string block quilt I need to put together. Hopefully one day soon.

I was so excited about my string quilt didn't notice how messy my house looks in the picture. But I think that makes me an official quilter and not a housekeeper or something to that effect. I blame it on my 3 dogs and 2 cats.

I loved the freedom of not matching colors or seams together it was a nice break from my usual quilting sessions.
